Your Worth Is Not Your Title: A Dental Leader’s Wake-Up Call | Lorie Streeter | FF

Imagine spending nearly 20 years building something...

Only to have it end.

Not because you failed.

Not because you did something wrong.

Just... over.

That's exactly what happened to Lorie Genelin Streeter.

And what surprises many people isn't the loss itself.

It's what the loss revealed.

She realized she had unknowingly tied her identity to what she had built.

So when it disappeared, she wasn't just losing a role.

She was losing the answer to the question:

"Who am I now?"

That moment became her Fail Forward story.

Here's what stood out:

1. A title can be borrowed. Character can't.

The things people admire most about a leader often have very little to do with the position they hold.

2. Success can hide unhealthy attachments.

Sometimes an ending reveals things that years of achievement never could.

3. The question that changes everything:

Instead of asking,

"Why is this happening to me?"

Ask,

"What is this preparing me for?"

That single shift helped her stop trying to reclaim the past and start building the future.

Quote worth remembering:

"Some chapters don't end because you failed. They end because your purpose has outgrown the page."

Have you ever experienced a season where something ended unexpectedly but ultimately led to something better?
