Blockade of the inferior alveolar nerve is the most commonly desired goal of mandibular anesthesia. Mandibular anesthesia depends on successfully blocking branches of the trigeminal nerve, especially the inferior alveolar nerve, which supplies the mandibular teeth and surrounding soft tissue.This course will discuss three mandibular nerve block injection techniques – the Inferior Alveolar, the Gow-Gates and the Akinosi technique.

In this program, participants will learn about the characteristics of composites, including instrumentation and techniques from placement to finishing, the use of brushes for anterior composites mastery, color mapping and fee considerations. We will follow an actual case treated with class III-IV restorations and direct composite veneers in the anterior dentition. They will also learn and utilize a lingual putty technique that takes the guess work out of anatomical build-ups and helps make incisal characterization more predictable.
