How to get more Invisalign patients

9/10/2026 9:13:00 AM   |   Comments: 0   |   Views: 37
A lot of dentists want to get more Invisalign patients so they spend a ton of money on ads, but the schedule is still empty. And then you've got other dentists having great success with Invisalign, filling up their schedule with no problems.

So what are they doing differently? Is it social media? Is it reviews? What's the actual secret here?

Let me explain it as if I'm the patient.

So imagine I'm looking into Invisalign and I land on your website. And your Invisalign page is just two short paragraphs that basically say "yep, we do Invisalign at this practice, give us a call and we can talk more."

Honestly, as a patient, that does nothing for me. I've got a ton of questions about Invisalign and I want to do my research before I ever pick up the phone. I don't want to call your office or come in for a consultation just to get my basic questions answered. It's 2026, I can research pretty much anything online. So I'm just going to go back to Google and look at other dentists.

You've got to give patients a lot of information about the procedure, because that's how they start to trust you, and that's how you stand out from the other dentists in the area. So make sure your landing page has all that information, for example the benefits of Invisalign,  how it works, what results can patients expect, how much it costs, etc. That cost part is really important, because it's one of the first things almost every patient wants to know. Here is a good example of a detailed landing page for Invisalign.

Next, you need to answer the questions patients actually have:

  • How long does Invisalign treatment take?
  • How often should I wear my aligners?
  • Is it covered by insurance?
  • Does it hurt?
  • Can I eat with it?
  • How does it compare to braces? Is it better?
It's going to help with SEO too, because a lot of the time patients in your area aren't looking for a dentist right away. They're considering the procedure first. So they go to Google and type something like "how long do I have to wear Invisalign?"

If you answer that question on your website and your competitors aren't, Google will show your site first. When patients click on it, they land on your FAQ section where you've answered exactly what they were asking. That's a really good way for them to discover you, because naturally they'll start looking at the other questions you've answered on your site. Then they'll check you out and learn more about the procedure right there from your website.

Think about it, there are dentists paying a ton of money in cost per click on Google Ads just to show up for Invisalign. Meanwhile, simply having the most basic patient questions answered on your website can help you show up for free.

And video makes it even better. You can answer  these questions on video. Because as a patient, I want to meet the dentist, I want to feel good about who I'm picking. Those videos are basically how I get to meet you before I even walk in.

Shooting the videos doesn't have to be complicated. An easy way to do this is to go to an AI tool and ask it something like "give me the most common questions patients have about Invisalign and the answers." Then you adapt those answers so they sound like you.

You print the questions out on a piece of paper, get your smartphone and record yourself at your office answering them. Your staff can literally take a video of you while they also ask you the questions so it sound smore natural, like a conversation. If you make a mistake, just delete that video and do it again.

All you have to do is make sure you're in a quiet room so the sound is good, and that you've got enough lighting so you show up well on camera. That's it, it's good enough. Everybody nowadays can record decent quality video, so it's not complicated. You definitely don't need a full production setup or anything fancy.

Now think about it from my side, the patient. I've got one dentist with a page full of helpful info, real patient testimonials, FAQs videos of the dentist. And then five other dentists with these really basic pages.

I'm about to spend a lot of money on Invisalign. Who do you think I'm going to call?

Okay, so the next place a lot of dentists lose Invisalign patients is on the phone.

The whole job of your website is to make me trust you and like you enough that I pick up the phone and call your office. But then what happens is your receptionist answers, and all of a sudden I get this bad feeling. I had a great impression from the website, and now it feels like I'm interrupting her day, or she's kind of dismissive. I've got a bunch of questions, but I'm just not getting a good feeling out of it, honestly.

And this happens all the time and most dentists have no idea. That great impression you created with the website has to keep going on the phone. If I call asking about Invisalign and I've got a bunch of questions, I need the person on the other end to take the lead. Like, "Okay, so you're interested in Invisalign. Have you researched it? Do you know how it works? Do you have any questions, anything you're worried about?"

Guide me through it, walk me through the process. I need to hang up feeling confident that "Yeah, this is the dentist I'm going with, these are people I can trust."

And the last step is the consultation. At this point I'm feeling good. I like your website, I liked talking to your staff, I feel like I picked the right dentist so I show up.

This is the last chance for you, the dentist, to make a good first impression in person. And it's where a lot of dentists drop the ball. Because as a patient, I might be nervous, I might have a few more questions. And if everything feels rushed, if it's straight into "let's get started, sign here," and nobody takes a minute to reassure me I made the right call and have a conversation with me, that's a problem. If the way you present the treatment doesn't leave me feeling confident, I'm just going to go with another dentist. You need to make the patient feel like a human, not just another number.

So getting more Invisalign patients isn't about sprinkling some magic marketing dust and suddenly your schedule fills up with appointments. It's about making sure the whole patient journey, from the moment they see your website to when they show up and meet you in person, reassures them that they made the right choice.

We've got an ebook on our website with a section on Invisalign, covering the most common questions patients have and how your staff can answer them in a way that builds trust and makes patients want to book. I highly recommend checking it out.
