Kirsta is a dynamic RDH and health educator with well-rounded experience in providing exceptional dental hygiene treatment and health education to her patients. She is excited to be branching out into the world of continuing education to share her passion for discovering and sharing the latest in oral health promotion and disease prevention with fellow dental providers. Her love for all things oral health bloomed from a seed being planted by her RDH mom, who has been practicing for almost 40 years. She always knew the dental field was her happy place. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Community Health while swimming competitively at New Mexico State University, she stepped into the dental world working as an oral health outreach coordinator at the NAPPR Dental Support Center, a program dedicated to serving the Albuquerque Area IHS dental clinics and their patients, as well as their surrounding communities, with hands-on clinical and educational support. After learning and growing as an oral health outreach coordinator and discovering a passion for developing and presenting educational material, she moved on to her alma mater to run the NMSU student health program and further honed her presentation development and delivery skills. After a few years working in public health, she decided to make the leap into clinical dentistry and attended Carrington College in Mesa, AZ. Her first job out of dental hygiene school was at a practice that carried out All-On-Four surgery procedures and she was one of two RDH's trained on-the-job to carry out implant maintenance cleaning procedures. She has been a practicing RDH for over 3 years now and continues to grow in her whole-hearted passion for linking people, whether it's her patients or fellow providers, with the knowledge and motivation necessary to embrace and integrate healthy choices in their personal and professional lives while doing the best she can to keep them smiling. Her presenter goals consist of providing dental professionals with fresh perspectives on the latest clinical education in a relatable but professional manner.
