A morning huddle is very different than a dental staff meeting. I'd leave the motivational stuff to staff meetings as there's plenty to go over in a correctly run morning huddle and usually not much time to do so.
The morning huddle is mainly a coordination meeting that should cover at least the following:
Month to Date Goal broken down by each dentist & hygienist.
A look at where you project to be at by then of day in regards to attaining your monthly goal.
At look at the next few days in terms of what major procedures are scheduled and whether more are needed on the schedule to stay on goal.
A look at any openings in the schedule, both operative and hygiene, and possible solutions.
Identifying patients in the schedule with potential treatment that could be added to the schedule.
What patients need x-rays per your treatment guidelines.
What emergency time is available that day.
Financial information on the day’s patients (identify financial arrangements needed, poor pay, etc.)
Review new patient info from telephone contact form.
Status/follow-up on yesterday’s changes in schedule. Bring yesterday’s schedule to discuss.
Any to-do's.
Potential issues/problems i.e. lab cases not in, lack of inventory, etc.
