Building a team is a long and demanding task which requires time, patience and dedication. But once your awesome team has been built, managing them will be as smooth as the night sea.

The only time when it gets rough is when there are changes to core workflows or the system as a whole. It is true that some people strive for change and adventure, but most might not.

How do you prime your team for critical changes without breaking them? The most important aspect of this is guiding them through the cycle of change.

How exactly is what we will explore today!

  1. Build a Coalition:
Make teams of people from varied sections. Choose the enthusiastic people who find the most value in the system change and bring them together. They are the best ones to lead the change and eventually train their colleagues.
  2.
  3. Share your Vision:
It is important that the team understands why they need to change to the new system. The more clear you make this picture to them, the more they will buy into it and work for it.
  4.
  5. Over Communicate:
Communication is the most important aspect. There is no such thing as too much communication. Make things be heard crystal clear.
  6.
  7. Let team members vent:
Overworking is always counterproductive and during times of sudden changes, this can be a huge issue. Have them open about their opinions and if needed add in small changes to your workflows.
These are a few of the options of helping your dental practice adapt to change. To know more, stay tuned!
