If a permit IS required but you go forth and do any work in that space without a permit and subsequently have a fire or other casualty, THE INSURANCE COMPANY WILL NOT PAY YOUR CLAIM!!!If you lease your office space, it is very likely that your lease requires that you comply with all laws, codes and ordinances.
