ORANGE, Calif.—SOTA Cloud has launched the SOTA Cloud Smart Sensor, a digital X-ray sensor designed to work with the company’s cloud imaging platform to deliver AI-powered image enhancement and automated quality control in real time.

According to the company, when paired with the SOTA Cloud platform, the Smart Sensor applies AI filters that enhance image clarity and runs automated quality checks that flag cone cuts, missed anatomy, overexposure, underexposure, and excess noise. The company said the quality control feature is intended to support claims documentation, not clinical interpretation.

The sensor features a size 1.5 form factor for both adult and pediatric patients, a wide dynamic range, and plug-and-play setup with automatic optimization.

Pricing starts at $499 upfront, with monthly plans as low as $69. SOTA Cloud said the model includes transparent pricing and a replacement program.

“Clinicians retain full control over image review and interpretation, and the system supports faster insurance documentation and smoother practice workflows,” said Dustin Johnson, chief technology officer of SOTA Cloud.
