BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—BioHorizons has launched Pro Zygoma, a zygomatic implant designed for immediate placement in advanced full-arch procedures. The company said it is the first implant in its remote anchorage portfolio.

The implant is intended for use in severely resorbed maxillae. Because zygomatic procedures are graftless, BioHorizons said the system can reduce chair time and recovery.

Pro Zygoma is available in two implant diameters and uses a single prosthetic platform with a deep conical connection. According to the company, its multi-unit abutment portfolio offers angles ranging from 17 to 60 degrees, and the system includes a surgical kit and cutting flutes intended to distribute force during insertion.

“Our goal for the Pro Zygoma system was to combine our clinically proven technologies with precision engineering to address the surgical demands of remote anchorage and advanced full-arch rehabilitation,” said John Bellanca, senior director of product and technology development for BioHorizons.

BioHorizons said it will support the launch with zygomatic-specific education and ongoing support from its Customer Care team and territory managers.
