Product Profile: G-ænial Bond

G-ænial Bond:

Higher Bond Strength, Ultimate Versatility

GC America, Inc., introduced G-ænial Bond Unit Dose as an addition to the highly rated G-ænial Bond. G-ænial Bond is a seventh-generation, onestep self-etching bonding agent that builds upon the excellent history of bonding materials from GC America. This product was designed specifically for the selective-etching technique, meaning that bond strengths will be enhanced no matter which technique the professional uses (self-etch on dentin or etch-and-rinse on enamel). With improved shear bond strength to both dentin and enamel, this is an excellent choice for all of your bonding needs.

G-ænial Bond offers:

  • One-step, self-etch bonding agent
  • Improved bond strength over other leading bonding agents to both enamel and dentin
  • Designed specifically for the selective-etching technique to give the professional maximum advantages
  • Easy application — 30 seconds from application to finish

G-ænial Bond’s HEMA-free formulation avoids degradation of the collagen fibrils. Water is not attracted to the tooth surface, improving bond strength. The dentin-adhesive interface, the nano-interaction zone, and the presence of hydroxyapatite crystals within this zone, together with the HEMA-free formulation, are key factors for the superior long-lasting bond strength found with G-ænial Bond.

G-ænial Bond’s small nozzle design minimizes evaporation of solvent, with 300 drops of G-ænial Bond in a 5mL bottle. G-ænial Bond’s economic cost per application is only $0.41.

G-ænial Bond is part of a three-product family for restorative dentistry, including G-ænial Universal Flo and G-ænial Flo.

G-ænial Universal Flo is a nano-hybrid light cured composite that has the easy handling of a low-fl ow (high viscosity) flowable. Tests have shown that G-ænial Universal Flo is stronger and has better wear resistance than leading flowable and conventional composites. It also has thixotropic attributes that allow the material to have easy handling and placement. This flowable also finishes beautifully and maintains its gloss better than both flowables and conventional composites as well. Suitable for use in Class I, II, III, IV and V restorations, it is available in 16 shades.

G-ænial Flo is a highly radiopaque, low-viscosity version of G-ænial Universal Flo. It has many of the same great characteristics (high fl exural strength, high gloss), in a more flowable version. Indicated for small cavities, liners and bases, G-ænial Flo offers eight shades.

Used together or separately, these three new products provide a comprehensive and reliable system to the dental professional.
