Thank you for following our blog series on clarifying the fables of the amalgam separator industry. Our last blog was the introduction to the series, highlighting some of our previous blogs debunking other incorrect information that muddied the waters of the Dental Industry.
The 2019 Yankee Dental Congress in Boston, Massachusetts was the first time M.A.R.S attended that conference. We were advised by a few Dental Professionals that their Sales Representatives told them a M.A.R.S LibertyBOSS amalgam separator is not compliant in the United States because it is manufactured in Canada. According to these Dental Professionals, their amalgam separator Sales Representative explained that Canada has different standards than the United States; therefore, a LibertyBOSS will not meet the local standards. There are many things wrong with the statement above. To begin this segment, we will start with the most obvious response to this misinformation, which is explaining what the “I” in ISO represents.
