AMHERST, N.Y.—Ivoclar Vivadent recently released OptraSculpt Next Generation, a new composite modeling instrument for use when sculpting direct posterior restorations.

Representing an enhancement to the OptraSculpt Pad for the anterior tooth region, OptraSculpt Next Generation is the contemporary counterpart that enables clinicians to reach the full range of posterior teeth and precisely manipulate composites.

Crafting aesthetic restorations is a challenge that can have a decisive influence on long-term treatment success. With OptraSculpt Next Generation, anatomical tooth structures can be professionally crafted using one of three available attachments: ball, point, and/or chisel. A hygienic dispenser box is included for easy removal of the attachments, and the attachments and pads are interchangeable between anterior and posterior instruments. The product is designed with an ideal angle of incidence for the posterior tooth region, all areas are easy to reach.

OptraSculpt Next Generation demonstrates all of the characteristics of the OptraSculpt product line, including non-stick properties for easy composite adaptation and specially adjusted attachment shapes for easy contouring that ultimately leads to highly efficient finishing and polishing. In the future, OptraSculpt Next Generation will replace the previously available OptraSculpt modeling instrument.
