Dr. Jaleena Fischer Jessop Recently Appointed Ultradent’s Director of Clinical Affairs

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah—Ultradent Products, a global manufacturer and distributor of dental materials and equipment, has announced the appointment of Dr. Jaleena Fischer Jessop as the company’s director of clinical affairs.

“I am excited to have Dr. Jessop at the helm of our clinical affairs department. Her rich clinical experience, drive to provide the highest standard of care for patients, and passion for Ultradent’s vision of improving oral health globally will enable Ultradent to continue to offer solutions that are driven from clinical insights for many years into the future," said Ultradent President Dirk Jeffs.

As the director of clinical affairs, Jessop, a practicing dentist, will oversee all phases of product development to ensure that the clinician’s point of view is considered in every aspect. Additionally, she will head a new clinical team at Ultradent that will work with other departments to ensure clinical input and accuracy in every area of the company. Jessop will also continue to work in her dental practice three days a week, applying her hands-on clinical experience to her work at Ultradent. 

Jessop began her undergraduate work at the University of Utah, studying medical biology prior to attending dental school. She then went on to graduate with honors in oral surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2002. She later completed a two-year certification for straight wire orthodontics from the American Orthodontic Society. Jessop has served for two years on the Utah Dental Association board, and has served for three years on the national advisory board at the University of Utah Dental School. She also currently works as an adjunct professor at the University of Utah Dental School. Jessop owns a private dental practice where she has worked for 15 years with an emphasis on aesthetic and minimally invasive dentistry. 

Furthermore, Jessop has contributed to Ultradent for many years, playing an important role on the company’s new product evaluation committee, as well as consulting on numerous product development and design projects. Additionally, she has participated regularly for several years in the company’s upper management meetings, helping to establish the strategic direction of Ultradent, contributing her vast clinical acumen to many of the company’s decisions.
