LED Imaging Announces New Appointment and Imaging Software

Industry leader to support LED Imaging in the orthodontic market
Posted: April 24, 2014
LED Imaging, a new division of LED Dental announced earlier this  month, heads to the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Session in New Orleans with two big announcements rolling out at the show. First, Tom Kearney, an industry leader with more  than 30 years of experience, has joined the LED Imaging team and will assist with future endeavors in the orthodontic market. Additionally, LED Imaging is launching its LED Imaging Software to integrate with the company’s growing portfolio of imaging technologies.

In his new role, Kearney will help establish strong relationships with practice consultants to further
build out LED Imaging’s customer base. He will also work to maximize corporate sponsorships,
partnerships and other industry relationships. Prior to joining LED Imaging, Kearney most recently
served as the director of corporate events for Carestream Dental, applying his decades of corporate
events and tradeshow experience to cultivating strong relationships with customers. Kearney, an
original founder of OrthoTrac software, helped establish the product as a premier orthodontic practice
management software around the world in markets such as the U.S., the United Kingdom and
Australia. His experience will serve him well as he supports LED Imaging in launching digital imaging
and software products.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tom for many years during my tenure at Carestream Dental, and
I’m very excited for the opportunity to work with him again,” said Lamar Roberts, president of LED
Dental. “We have no doubt that Tom is the perfect addition to our team and will have an immediate
impact as LED Imaging expands into the orthodontic market.”

First up on Kearney’s agenda is assisting with the recent launch of LED Imaging’s premier digital
extraoral imaging system, the RAYSCAN α – Expert, which offers CBCT, panoramic and
cephalometric capabilities. Developed by Ray Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, the
system’s high-quality imaging and optimal 9 cm x 9 cm field of view is ideal for orthodontists.

Kearney will also help introduce LED Imaging’s exclusive imaging software at the AAO Annual
Session. LED Imaging Software captures and displays intraoral and extraoral 2D radiographs, videos
and photographs from a variety of diagnostic imaging devices. It also integrates seamlessly with the
RAYSCAN α – Expert. LED Imaging Software is designed with true open-architecture, allowing
integration with any practice management system and compatibility with imaging devices from a
variety of manufacturers. The imaging software enables practitioners to capture, manipulate, save,
store and share clinical images quickly and easily.

“Our number one goal is to provide the dental industry with top-of-the-line imaging and software
products, so we’re excited about all of the announcements we’ve made recently,” Roberts continued.
“We’ve accomplished so much already in 2014, and it’s just the beginning – we have a very bright
future ahead.”

AAO Annual Session attendees are encouraged to visit LED Imaging’s booth number 754, to meet
Tom Kearney and demo the RAYSCAN α – Expert and LED Imaging Software. To learn more about
