Ketac Universal Aplicap
3M’s new Ketac Universal Aplicap glass ionomer restorative gives dentists a solution with fewer steps, easy handling and reduced chair time, so they can get patients on their way fast with a fluoride-releasing restoration that is strong enough for long-term use.

Ketac Universal Aplicap restorative is self-adhesive and self-curing, so it eliminates the need for conditioning, coating or light-curing steps, enabling an efficient procedure—just place and sculpt, and you’re done. The material’s low stickiness adds to its easy handling, and it can now be used for restricted stress-bearing Class I and II restorations, thanks to its compressive strength and surface hardness. It can also be placed in bulk, eliminating the need for layering and giving dentists an economical option for a general bulk restorative material.

The restorative is available in an Aplicap delivery system with a new nozzle design that gives dentists better access to deep cavities. It is available in six shades.

EyeZoom Mini
Orascoptic has just released EyeZoom Mini—a loupe that employs two-step variable magnification technology between 2.5x and 3.5x power.

The second loupe launched under the EyeZoom moniker, EyeZoom Mini invites the user to zoom in to view finer details and zoom out for a wider field of view. By bringing the operating site closer and into focus, the loupe helps improve speed and efficiency in the operatory, while reducing interruptions in the flow of patient care.

With a consistent working distance at each magnification level, the loupe helps reduce the need to reposition when switching between magnification levels. This patent-pending design was co- engineered by Orascoptic and Konica Minolta.

The EyeZoom Mini is available on Orascoptic’s Legend, Rave, Rydon and Victory frames. The loupe is available in a through-the-lens configuration.

VersaFlex
Brasseler USA has introduced a new spin on basic, plastic snap-on polishers with the new VersaFlex diamond-coated disposable polishing system.

Unlike traditional plastic polishers, VersaFlex is outfitted with a durable diamond coating that provides numerous advantages over traditional aluminum oxide-coated polishers. It gently yet effectively smooths all surface irregularities and eliminates rough exterior areas caused by adjusting and finishing, while leaving behind a high-gloss, aesthetically pleasing exterior on any restorative material.

Two diamond-coated Mylar strips are included in the VersaFlex four-step polishing system and each single-sided strip is outfitted with two diamond abrasive grit choices: super-coarse/coarse or medium/fine. The polishers are available in two sizes: 10 and 12 millimeters. Each polishing disc seamlessly snaps on to either a right-angle latch or straight low-speed handpiece mandrel.

Valo Grand
