What is the best time to start insurance renegotiations? Should I do it now at the end of the year or wait until 2021? Will the insurance companies increase the amount allowed for fees in the new year? That's a good question and one I've been wondering too. If I start now, will they be negotiated on the 2020 rates? If I wait to January, is there a chance the rates will have improved slightly?

In this interview with Kinzie Broxson of PK Performance, we cover the legal and technical issues arising when you offer employee discounts and the employee has PPO insurance. We also delve into handling patient objections in an OON or FFS practice. We round the interview out by discussing a patient that wants a refund after being absent from the practice for over two years and how to handle those situations and prevent them from happening.

bill for reline or rebase. If doing that doesn't cover your costs maybe charge one of those 999 codes. If the pt doesn't have ins I usually charge a global fee for denture stabilization no matter how many minis I place. Thanks for the response. I typically charge a global fee, also, and that seems to be the easiest way to do it, but when the patient has insurance, they of course, need a code. Thanks so much, Mike
