ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--3M Critical & Chronic Care Solutions Division announced today that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has assigned product-specific Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) codes for the 3M Coban 2 Layer Compression System (Cat #2094). The innovative Coban 2 Layer Compression System is a compression bandaging system containing two rolls – a comfort layer and compression layer.
The comfort layer has been assigned HCPCS code A6441 (padding bandage) and the compression layer has been assigned A6452 (high compression bandage). The new codes were effective beginning January 2, 2014.
