Dentist's wife sentenced for filing false tax return

The wife of a Watertown dentist was sentenced to three years' probation Wednesday for filing false tax returns for his business.

U.S. District Judge David Hurd imposed the sentence on Donna Schneeberger, 53, of Clayton, who was the bookkeeper for the dental business of her husband, Dr. Gerald Schneeberger.

Hurd also ordered her to pay a $25,000 fine, and to pay all penalties and interest due to the Internal Revenue Service.
