WASHINGTON, April 16, 2013 -- In support of the development of future dental hygiene educators, the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) presented two dental hygiene students with the 2013 ADEA/Crest Oral-B Laboratories Scholarship for Dental Hygiene Students Pursuing Academic Careers at the 2013 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, held March 16-19, in Seattle, Washington.
Ms. Yvonne Aitken of Eastern Washington University and Ms. Brittany Minichbauer, of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, were each awarded $2,000 to pursue education beyond an associate's degree.

"Through these scholarships given by ADEA, we are proud to support students pursuing careers as dental hygiene educators. We wish them the best of luck."
Each year, ADEA presents this award to two dental hygiene students who are committed to academic careers in dental hygiene.
