Posted: February 15, 2013

February 8, 2013—Boston, MA—A distinguished board of five periodontists and experts in regenerative dentistry today announced the introduction of Regenerative Update (www.regenerativeupdate.com), a complimentary e-Newsletter focused specifically on the field of regenerative dentistry, and intended for general dentists, dental hygienists, periodontists and dental students.

The goal of the newsletter is to educate and inform general dentists and hygienists about regenerative dentistry, thereby serving as a tool for collaboration between general dentists and periodontists as well as for patient education.

“Across the field of dentistry and across dental specialties, it is becoming clear that we all are searching for improved collaboration on patients who need periodontal care,” said Dr. E. Todd Scheyer (editorial board member). “With this new e-Newsletter, we hope to fulfill the unmet need for a professional resource focused on regenerative and other periodontal issues to help us all provide improved patient care and treatment outcomes.”

The articles, being developed and reviewed by the editorial board of established periodontists across the US and Canada, will address different aspects in regeneration, including the number of ways that patient communication and interdisciplinary dentistry approaches can benefit dental practices.

Regenerative Update will be sent to subscribers four times a year and will provide information about topics including:

  • Periodontal disease: how to recognize it and how to treat it
  • Latest advances in optimizing periodontal maintenance care in the best interest of patients and practices
  • How to best apply regenerative techniques to maximize successful results
  • Tools for patient communication
  • How dental practices can benefit from interdisciplinary approaches when treating periodontal disease
  • Latest news and events from symposia and congresses
