Dentist of Distinction Program Designed to Help Dentists Generate Positive Publicity

Posted: January 9, 2013
As you may have seen in the December issue of Dentaltown, there is a new program designed to help dentists generate positive publicity for their practice. Chaired by Dr. Gordon Christensen and sponsored by Wells Fargo Practice Finance, the Dentist of Distinction program provides a philanthropic opportunity that highlights the dedication and commitment of dentists to promote oral health in their communities. Participating dentists receive practice-building resources including news releases, videos, content for newsletters and social media as well as an oral health education kit for use in community activities.

As a supporter of National Children's Oral Health Foundation: America's ToothFairy (NCOHF), Dentaltown is helping us spread the word about this exciting opportunity for dentists to showcase their commitment to oral health within their communities while making a meaningful contribution for those in need.

There are two ways to participate in this program. Dentists can make an annual contribution in the amount of $1,000 to support the delivery of oral health services for vulnerable children or donate professional services to help at-risk teens through Tomorrow's SMILES, an America's ToothFairy program. (To be eligible, donated services must equivalent to $4,000 annually.)

NCOHF: America's ToothFairy is a non-profit organization supporting oral health care and education for children in need.  Thanks to generous underwriters covering operational and program expenses, 100% of contributions will go to helping vulnerable children.

Please share this information with your colleagues and encourage their participation by including a few slides about this program in your lecture presentations. Click on the link below to download a few PowerPoint slides and info about the marketing tools to use in your presentations. If you prefer them in Keynote or need them in a different format, please contact Jill Malmgren at jmalmgren@ncohf.org. We also hope you will become a Dentist of Distinction and help ensure that vulnerable children receive the healthy smiles they deserve!
