Algonquin, IL (July 31, 2012)—A new CE course titled, “An Evidence-Based Approach to Cleansing and Polishing: Part II” was recently published by The Richmond Institute for Continuing Dental Education as the second half of a two-part course, with leading author and hygienist, Michele Darby, RDH, MS.
Following up with part one—which concentrated on the basics of cleansing and polishing—part two further educates readers on the intricacies of cleansing and polishing, particularly in more specialized types of cases. It also takes an in-depth look at the implementation of selective polishing on some of the most common restorative materials, including insight on the most effective abrasive agents for each kind of restoration, and recommendations for properly assessing whether or not this procedure is necessary for every single patient.
As with all CE courses from The Richmond Institute, this self-instructional course can be viewed for free by members and non-members alike, and costs only $20.00 to take the exam for two CE credits (*note: complimentary membership is required to access the exam).
