The system also allows the user to determine whether a message is typed in or chosen from a list of predetermined messages. By simply double clicking the message, a receipt confirmation is automatically sent to the sender.
Placement of the message text can also be customized by each workstation. Each user can define a default state for their workstation and can decide where they want the messages to appear, how long the text remains on the screen, and whether or not a particular sound is used to announce a message has arrived.
