About the Courses
Show Me the Money in Black, White and Green
In today’s highly competitive and fast-paced dental office, one of the most important responsibilities of each team member is the “pre-heating” of the patient for the doctor. To be successful at motivating your patients to be open to, and ultimately, agree to your dentist’s treatment plan requires an arsenal of talents that may not come naturally or without thoughtful preparation. And even if you possess excellent communication and leadership skills and a true commitment to educating your patients about the benefits of long-term oral health, are you using these to the full financial benefit of your practice…and yourself? In this course, you will find answers to these commonly asked questions:

Why should I help with the productivity for my dentist?
What’s in it for me?
How can I motivate a patient to take ownership in their treatment plan?
What role can I play in helping my team grow financially?
How can I help myself embrace financial success?

Keeping the Flame Alive
How many times have you heard, “But I am just an assistant?” The dental assistant, one of the greatest assets in the field of dentistry, is no longer limited to sitting idly by with suction in hand. Today’s assistant requires leadership, knowledge in dental science and exceptional communication skills. In this course, you’ll learn how to sharpen the tools you already possess. The course will examine the benefits of:
· Recognizing different leadership styles
· Becoming a team leader
· Networking with other leading assistants
· Finding fulfillment each day of your career

About the Tina Calloway PRO-Visional Kit
The kit (TD 2103A) was the first bur kit from KOMET USA designed for dental assistants by a dental assistant to work on provisional temporaries. A “Christmas Tree” acrylic bur is included so assistants can reach the margins better. A flexible honeycomb/swirl diamond disc helps assistants trim and shape the interproximal areas; and helps assistants accomplish a feathering technique (thinning the acrylic material in specific areas). This technique allows to blend and reduce excess material with excellent visual because of the thinness of the disc. The kit also comes with an acrylic slow-speed football-shaped bur allowing the assistants to adjust the occlusion minimally keeping the natural anatomy. A rubber polisher is provided to smooth out any rough edges and the micro fiber polisher adds a high shine.
