Three Viscosities Provide Precise Detail, Predictable Results

Huntington Beach, CA – March 2, 2009 – Kettenbach LP, an internationally recognized supplier of quality dental products, has introduced its Panasil® initial contact “wash” impression materials to the U.S. dental market.

The company introduced Panasil® initial contact during this year’s Chicago Dental Society’s Midwinter Meeting in Chicago, IL.

Because of its unique initial hydrophilicity, the material can immediately overcome any remaining moisture in the mouth.  Dental professionals will get an exact impression every time they use Panasil® initial contact, even in situations with a deep sulcus or a moist environment.  Panasil® initial contact is highly thixotropic, with outstanding flow properties and a short intra-oral setting time.  Because of its outstanding flow properties, Panasil® initial contact will enter narrow gaps and does not slump or drip off the tooth into the oral cavity.

Panasil® initial contact is available in three viscosities – X-light (very low viscosity), light (low viscosity) and regular (medium viscosity).  Panasil® initial contact X-light flows evenly into extremely tight crevices and, during two-step putty-wash impressions, forms only a thin layer on the preliminary impression material.  The even higher thixotropy of Panasil® initial contact light is often used for one-step impression techniques.  All three viscosities will be available in the U.S. dental market within the next month in a fast set.

All three Panasil® initial contact viscosities have a total working time of 1 minute, 30 seconds and an intra-oral setting time of 2 minutes, 30 seconds.  When the fast set is introduced, it will shave 30 seconds off both the total working and the intra-oral setting times.  All materials are available in the following delivery units: 2 × 50 mL with 12 mixing tips and 12 × 50 mL with 72 mixing tips.
