Kettenbach LP Ready for the U.S. Dental Market
Quality Products and Innovative Research -- The German Way

Huntington Beach, CA – September 30, 2008 – After months of preparation, Kettenbach LP, one of the leading international producers of impression materials, will now sell its innovative dental products direct to the U.S. dental market.

Kettenbach LP, currently headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA, is the U.S. division of Kettenbach GmbH & Co. KG of Eschenburg, Germany.  Kettenbach is an internationally recognized supplier of an extensive range of dental products, particularly as a specialist in the impression material sector.

To mark its entry into the U.S. dental market, Kettenbach LP has introduced its full line of Futar® bite registration materials – Futar®, Futar® D, Futar® D Fast, Futar® Slow and Futar® Scan.  In fact, Futar® D is the No. 1 selling bite registration material in Germany, according to GFK records, and Futar® D was rated 4-stars for 2005 by REALITY.

“Kettenbach has developed into a leading player in the global dental market within the impression material sector based on 60 years of experience,” said Maribelle Velasco, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations for Kettenbach LP.  “Innovation means a lot to Kettenbach.  Rather than simply introducing new products, the aim of the company is and always has been to not only be well ahead of the times, but to continually be at the cutting edge.”

Kettenbach GmbH & Co. KG was founded in Germany by August Kettenbach on May 2, 1944 for the development and marketing of medical and dental products.  Its first dental product, Lastic® 55, was introduced in 1955 and was the first condensation curing impression in the world.  Today, the company is one of the leading international producers of impression materials for dental use, and is also known in other surgical areas of medicine.  The ongoing efforts to provide dentists and dental technicians with products which enhance their work and increase reliability have been rewarded by Kettenbach’s outstanding market position in many countries.

That positioning made Futar® D the No. 1 bite registration material in Germany.  Its innovation has led to many other dental products by Kettenbach in the dental arena such as disinfectants, electric mixing and dosing machines, impression materials, laboratory products, relining materials and tooth whitening products.  Kettenbach will begin to launch many of their innovative dental products in the United States.

The next product slated for direct sales in the United States is Silginat®, a medium-bodied viscosity, polyvinyl siloxane impression material designed for a variety of indications such as anatomical models, fabrication of temporary crown and bridges, orthodontic appliances and case study models.  Silginat® will be introduced next month during the 2008 American Dental Association Annual Session in San Antonio, TX.

“Kettenbach’s continued progress is guaranteed by our dedication to research and development in Germany,” Velasco said.  “Highly qualified scientists work in modern laboratories on product innovations and on continually developing and improving the existing product range.  Our aim is to bring new products regularly into the U.S. dental market designed to meet the requirements of users and patients.”
