BIOMET 3i Announces A New Choice For Provisional Restorations

BIOMET 3i QuickBridge Provisional Restoration Components

QuickBridge (WinCE).JPGPalm Beach Gardens, FL - (November 1, 2007) - BIOMET 3i QuickBridge™ Provisional Restoration Components are now available for clinicians who prefer screw-retained definitive restorations but want the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of cement-retained immediate or delayed provisional bridges.

QuickBridge Provisional Restoration Components offer an easy way to fabricate multi-unit, cement-retained provisional implant restorations on Conical Abutments with two components: A titanium cylinder that threads onto the Straight or Angled Conical Abutment interface and a cap that snaps onto the collar of the cylinder. The cap is processed into the provisional restoration in the laboratory, or picked up inside the prefabricated or chairside-fabricated provisional restoration. The provisional bridge is then temporarily cemented onto the titanium cylinders and may stay in place for as many as 180 days.

When the patient is ready for the definitive impressions and restoration, the provisional bridge and cylinders are removed and the definitive restoration is seated on the same Conical Abutments, saving additional cost for the clinician and the patient.

The definitive restoration interfaces with the Conical Abutment and may be fabricated using a CAM StructSURE® Precision Milled Bar or Framework.
