Dr. Jeffrey K. Collins, who earned his DDS from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 2001, has returned to the College as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS).

“My duties and responsibilities include teaching undergraduate dental students and postgraduate residents in oral and maxillofacial surgery,” he said. “My goal is to have an impact on the education of each student I have the opportunity to interact with. I hope to enhance their knowledge in the management of medically compromised patients, improve their diagnostic and surgical skills, and make their oral and maxillofacial surgery experience an enjoyable one.”

Dr. Collins holds a Certificate in OMFS from the University of Michigan. He is an associate in the practice of Drs. Roger Kallal, Robert Schwartz, and Richard Balcerak, practicing full-scope OMFS in Hinsdale and Aurora, IL. His special clinical interests include dental implantology, oral pathology, reconstructive surgery, and sleep apnea.

At the College, he earned the Dr. Stanley D. Tylman Award for patient treatment of the highest quality.
