Accu Bite Dental Supply, a leading provider of supplies, equipment and services to the dental industry, today announced the creation of an independent Board of Directors. The board will be comprised of both internal leaders of Accu Bite as well as external business executives and led by Dr. William Costello, Chairman and CEO of Accu Bite Dental Supply. Speaking on the formation of the board of directors, Dr. Costello said, “The role of the newly formed Board of Directors is to provide strategic focus and experience to Accu Bite and help position the company for future growth. We believe that the Directors will be a good sounding board for ideas and potential growth opportunities that Accu Bite has identified in the marketplace. Accu Bite is poised for significant growth in the coming years, and I am excited about the creation of our Board of Directors and the announcement of our first external Director and the broad base of knowledge, experience, and business discipline that he and our future board members will bring to the Accu Bite team.”

Dr. William Costello, Chairman and CEO, Accu Bite Dental Supply
Dr. Costello practiced dentistry in Lansing, Michigan from 1970 until 1990. In 1978, he founded Accu Bite Dental Supply, Inc. to distribute a unique dental product that he designed, developed and manufactured. This type of product is now used in over half of all dental crown and bridge procedures through out the world. Dr. Costello implemented and directed the initial development of the company’s direct marketing strategy. In 1986, he redirected the focus of the company from being product driven to market driven. In 1990, he sold his practice to devote his entire time to the company. Dr. Costello serves as the visionary for Accu Bite today. He holds a B.A. degree from Western Michigan University and a D.D.S. degree from the University of Michigan and has patented several products. Dr. Costello is a member of the American Dental Association Accredited Standards Committee: Dental Materials, Instruments and Equipment. He has lectured extensively, has authored several articles for various dental publications, has been a panelist on numerous industry educational forums, and held three successive year terms as the President of the Dental Dealers of America. He is a member of the CEO Academy, a Lansing, MI based network of business executives who own their own business and function in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer. Dr. Costello has also served on various boards including the Sparrow Health Systems, the Liturgical Publishing Commission, and the University of Michigan School of Dentistry Alumni Society Board of Governors.
Mr. Jeff Wesley, Vice President and General Manager, Accu Bite Dental Supply
Mr. Wesley is the Vice President and General Manager serving as the Chief Executive to the Chairman directing and managing all sales, marketing and company operations. From 1991-2002, Mr. Wesley served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer with management responsibility for the development and planning for all internal operations including logistics, warehousing, human resources, accounting, purchasing, customer service and collections, facilities and information and technology systems. From 1985 –1991, Mr. Wesley was employed with Deloitte and Touche as an Audit Manager with responsibilities including strategic planning, consulting, and supervision of audits for various industries including financial, manufacturing, nonprofit and governmental, insurance and health care. Mr. Wesley is a graduate of Central Michigan University, Cum Laude, and holds a B.S. in Business Administration. He is a Certified Public accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Wesley is also active in the community and has served as a director and a volunteer on several civic, religious, and community boards and committees.
Ms. Elizabeth Costello, Vice President and Secretary, Accu Bite Dental Supply
Ms. Costello is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Chemistry. After working many years in the field of clinical chemistry at both the University of Michigan Hospital and Lansing General Hospital, she left the world of chemistry and joined Dr. Costello to start Accu Bite Dental Supply. Ms. Costello helped in all aspects of the business in the early years. Her major areas of responsibility included accounting, technology systems, customer service and collections. Ms. Costello retired from the business in 1991. Volunteering has been an integral part of Ms. Costello’s life since her college days. She is an active volunteer on several community boards including the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts, American Cancer Society, Great Lakes Chapter, Boys Scouts of America and East Lansing Schools.
Mr. George Wilke, President, Seapearl Pharmaceuticals, LLC
Mr. Wilke is currently the President of Seapearl Pharmaceuticals, LLC. Prior to that, Mr. Wilke spent 9 years in senior management positions within the dental industry. Most recently, Mr. Wilke was the Vice President, E-commerce for DentalExchange.com, a dental products and service e-commerce website. His experience also includes 7 years as the President of several related companies including Septodont, Inc. During this time, George also served on the Board of Directors of Dental Manufacturers of America progressing through all Officer positions including President of the DMA. George has received recognition as one of the 25 Most Distinguished Leaders in the dental industry.
Prior to joining the dental industry, George spent most of his career in the pharmaceutical industry including stints at Survival Technology, Syntex Laboratories, and Mead Johnson & Company where he held executive positions responsible for all areas of manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, finance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, research and development, human resources, purchasing and materials planning, and contract manufacturing. These experiences included world-wide operations in producing all forms of pharmaceuticals, including sterile dental cartridges, sterile injectible syringes, lyophilized sterile powders, vials, liquids, tablets, creams, ointments, and hard gelatin capsules.
Mr. Wilke holds a B.S. in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University. He attended the Materials Management and Engineering Executive Program at Stanford University and has been a guest lecturer at Stanford University. He also initiated and established the Schools of Packaging at Rochester Institute of Technology and Indiana State University.
