Dr. Granderath becomes new Danaher Group Executive, Dental and President of KaVo Worldwide.
Dr. Rickert assumes new responsibilities as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Christoph Gusenleitner is appointed new President of KaVo and Gendex for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
KaVo, together with Gendex, has been part of Danaher for the last year and a half. During this time, the Dental Group has grown from approximately $550 million in revenue to just under $700 million. The Dental Group includes, among others, the KaVo, Gendex, Pelton & Crane, and Dexis brands and has 9 production facilities and approximately 20 sales and service offices.
KaVo continues to be the main pillar of the Dental Group worldwide.
Danaher would like to proactively develop the companies and brands, leverage synergies and enhance the Dental Group. The entire Group surrounding KaVo has reached a scale that requires adjustments to the organizational structure.
As a first step in this direction, Danaher has announced, effective immediately, the appointment of Dr. Alexander Granderath as Group Executive, Dental. In this role, he will oversee all dental companies owned by Danaher. Dr. Alexander Granderath is also appointed President of KaVo worldwide. In the last two years, Dr. Granderath served as President Europe Hach Lange for the Water Quality Group of Danaher. He is also Chairman of the Danaher European Management Board.
Dr. Martin Rickert, previously Chairman of the Management of KaVo, is now KaVo’s Chairman of the Supervisory Board and will lead operational responsibilities such as the active promotion of client and market relations of KaVo as well as the business development of the Dental Group.
Phil Knisley, Executive Vice President Danaher, thanked Dr. Rickert for his activities in his previous role. In a challenging phase of the dental platform development, he integrated KaVo, as a private company, within the Danaher Group and strengthened KaVo’s structures. In addition, the Dental Group grew by approximately 50% under his leadership. Danaher’s executive management is looking forward to continuing the good relationship with Dr. Rickert in his role as KaVo Chairman. Thanks to his extensive knowledge of the dental market, he will contribute significantly to continued growth.
Additionally, Danaher announced the appointment of Christoph Gusenleitner as the President of KaVo and Gendex for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Christoph Gusenleitner will also manage the KaVo operations in the Biberach headquarter location. Christoph Gusenleitner’s previous position at KaVo was Managing Director, Business Division Instruments and Equipment.
This new structure is a consistent further development to strengthen the Danaher Dental Platform’s regional presence and customer orientation.
