(www.levingroup.com), a leading dental consulting firm dedicated to improving the lives of dentists, today announced that the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) has extended its partnership agreement for an additional one-year Practice Management program. Phase II of the NYUCD-Levin Group relationship, which went into effect October 1, 2005, will focus on a number of key areas including Admissions, Patient Finance, Central Billing/Accounts Receivables, Cultural Competencies, Scheduling, and Hygiene. NYUCD is the largest and third oldest dental school in the United States, and became Levin Group’s first Universities Program partner in 2004.

Alfano, Dean of NYUCD, “we realized significant improvements in our practice management curriculum, as well as in clinic productivity and collections, all of which are strategic objectives for the College of Dentistry. We are pleased to be moving into Phase II of this program and providing our students with additional tools needed for managing successful dental practices.”
After a comprehensive on-site assessment of NYUCD’s 17 clinics by Levin Group consultants, the Baltimore-based company submitted an extensive report that addressed the opportunities for improved efficiencies as well as specific recommendations to enhance the NYUCD program through Practice Management systems. In addition to a continuation of several key initiatives from the Phase I program, the Phase II program includes an implementation module that introduces a Student Practice Model Value into the clinics.
