ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Clon3D, an oral care solution provider based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is launching a new intraoral scanner in North America under the brand name Wow. The small, easy-to-operate scanner offers solutions primarily for orthodontics, implant dentistry and prosthodontics.

The Wow scanner was developed in France by Biotech Dental and launched in Europe in 2019.

“The Wow scanner offers a unique and cost-effective proposition for dental practitioners of all kinds. We are confident that this ground-breaking product will drive yet more dentists down the path to a broader digital workflow," said E. Gary Fichtner, Clon3D president.

“The Wow scanner is two in one” says Eli Ganon, chief technology officer at Clon3D. “It combines capturing 2D and 3D images based on the open architecture formats STL, PLY and JPG. Advanced algorithms and easy-to-use software will enable an expanding number of dentists to enjoy the benefits of digital dentistry with seamless ease and minimal training.”
