MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Two Georgia women have been accused of operating a dental practice for nearly a decade without a license.

News outlets report 40-year-old Carolina Rojas Morales and 35-year-old Bianca Zambrano-Blanco were arrested and charged Tuesday with practicing dentistry without a license. Morales faces an additional charge of aggravated battery.

Cobb County police spokeswoman Officer Sydney Melton says an investigation opened up after a woman said she received a botched root canal from the office.

Melton says investigators found records that indicate the unlicensed practice dated back as far as 2010. Police found numerous victims.

Morales was booked into Cobb County jail. Zambrano-Blanco was also booked into the jail, where she's being held on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.

It's unclear if Morales or Zambrano-Blanco have an attorney.
