CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Dental professionals can learn how to engage their team and highlight their practice in the community by supporting oral health care, education, and resources for local children in need, through Celebration of Smiles, a nationwide series of events from America’s ToothFairy. The next event will be held in Santa Monica, California, and is sponsored by PureLife Dental.

The event will feature sushi and happy hour overlooking the Santa Monica Beach and will include a distinguished panel of thought leaders within the dental community. All proceeds benefit the mission of America’s ToothFairy to ensure all children can access dental care and learn about oral health.

“Millions of children across the country lack access to basic dental care and preventive services. The dental health of children and teens in the Los Angeles area is especially troubling,” said Jill Malmgren, executive director of America’s ToothFairy. “We are so grateful to PureLife Dental for hosting, and are looking forward to this opportunity to teach members of the local dental community about the practical ways they can be part of the solution.”

Celebration of Smiles, Santa Monica, will be held Thursday, April 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the PureLife Dental corporate offices located in Santa Monica. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased online through the events page at americastoothfairy.org.

“We strongly believe that we have a responsibility to help our customers engage in movements that work to improve the health of our environment and the people within our communities,” said Alena Andrews, brand engagement manager at PureLife Dental. “We are proud to partner with America’s ToothFairy to educate dental professionals about this wonderful cause.”

Speakers scheduled to appear at the event include Dr. Bernard Gross, Diplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry; Charles G. Brown, attorney and founding president of the World Alliance for Mercury-Free Dentistry; and Dale Gorman, executive director at Kids' Community Dental Clinic (KCDC) in Burbank, California. KCDC is a member of the Dental Resource Program of America’s ToothFairy, which supports clinics that treat children in need.

America’s ToothFairy’s Celebration of Smiles events have been held recently in Chicago, Illinois and Charlotte, North Carolina.
