NORTHPORT, NY—ADSTRA SYSTEM’s Practice Made Perfect® practice management software offers dental professionals the ability to effectively set up multi-level security access rights based on user-defined roles. The role-based access control permits the authorized staff to define individual roles, such as office manager, receptionist, assistant, temporary staff, etc. with specific user login names, password protection, and access rights based on each role. Each role is then assigned a specific set of permissions. The program allows more than 200 permission rights to be easily associated with various aspects of managing the information. Permission rights include the ability to perform certain actions, known as permission assignments. Each user is assigned one or more roles, or user assignments.
When an employee logs onto the system, access rights are set according to the associated role or multiple roles assigned to the employee and functions are either enabled or disabled accordingly. The employee’s name is automatically stamped on the records and any modification, deletion, access, and printing of main information is recorded in a set of audit files that can be reviewed by the authorized user.
