1. Practicon Inc. in Greenville, North Carolina began distributing SensorGuards, reusable guards to protect intraoral digital sensor cables. In addition, Practicon is also offering dentists the disposable VacuGrip that allows clinicians to use their high-speed vacuum to hold onto small indirect restorations. www.practicon.com

2. Delta Dental of Massachusetts introduced a new Affordable dental insurance plan called total Choice PPO. The Massachusetts Dental Society, with around 4,500 members, opposes this new dental insurance program saying that “it would force them to pack more patients into a day and rush through appointments.”
