Revolutionary Nanocomposite Captures Minnesota Technology Honor ST. PAUL, Minn.—Filtek™ Supreme Universal Restorative from 3M ESPE, a revolutionary dental restorative material based on nanotechnology, has received a 2004 Tekne Award in the category of Advanced Manufacturing.
As the first universal composite that combines the strength of a hybrid with the beauty of a microfill, the easy-to-use Filtek Supreme universal restorative is designed to offer excellent strength and esthetics for all anterior and posterior restorations.
The nanosized filler particles (nanoparticles and nanoclusters) used in Filtek Supreme universal restorative achieve the superior polish and polish retention similar to a microfill, yet also provide the excellent handling, strength and wear properties that are needed for universal indications.
The unique range of shades and opacities allows for excellent results with either single or multi-layer restorations.
