JACKSON, MS— December 2, 2004 —Friday, October 22, Oral Tech Dental Laboratory and Captek™ held “Spa Day With Oral Tech Dental,” a half-day event honoring female dentists in Jackson, Mississippi. Attendees were treated to massages and facials, and listened to talks from Dr. Sonia Sweeney who spoke about soft tissue contouring, and Oral Tech Laboratory President Andy Woods who offered tips for improving customer service. Also on hand was Crystal Johnson, a Licensed Massage Therapist who addressed the topic of stress and its effect on the dental profession. “(It was) fantastic,” noted Spa Day attendee Dr. Roni Golden. “We really felt pampered.”
“(Spa Day) was kind of the ladies’ answer to a golf outing,” said Woods, organizer of the affair. “It started out as a unique way for Oral Tech to thank their clients, but it developed into a larger promotion that attracted dentists from the greater Jackson area.”
Dentists in attendance included members of the American Association of Women Dentists. Each received a hand-delivered invitation and a box of Godiva chocolates.
The event took place at Trio Day Spa in downtown Jackson from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
