HUDSON, Ohio—Virtual Training Manual (VTM) is an app available for any Apple or Android device that allows the user to create custom videos designed to serve as standard operating procedures at a dental practice. Individual offices create a manual holding all the videos pertaining to that specific office which all team members can access. Videos can easily be shared across the platform allowing offices to connect and implement procedures that may be applicable to more than one office.

VTM evolves the binder of written procedures that once lived on an office shelf to a digital, video-based format more applicable to todays advancing technological dental practice. Standardizing office procedures is an essential practice for larger corporations that focus on quality, efficiency, customer service, and having well trained employees, the old way is a cumbersome task for a small dental practice. VTM simplifies the SOP into self-explanatory videos that can be sped up, slowed down, or paused and can even provide a check list prior to setting up or performing a procedure.

Dr. Grant Hunsicker is a dentist in Tallmadge, Ohio that started VTM after seeing the need for an effective, modern platform for ensuring consistency and enabling fast, effective training of new employees during complete shutdown of dental offices during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Hunsicker and his team have built a library of videos along with multiple other offices, that can be shared across the VTM platform. His team uses the app daily for check lists and providing access to temporary and new employees to get up to speed easily and fast.
