Dentaltown.com reached 150,000 members this spring!
This is exciting news, not just because of the amount of
activity on the boards, but because dentists who are part
of the Dentaltown community believe in leaving dentistry
better than when they entered the profession. They
believe in helping each other find ways to achieve faster,
easier, effective dentistry.
In 1999, Dr. Howard Farran started Dentaltown.com under
the premise that no dentist should ever have to practice
alone. Dr. Farran might have had the initial idea, but it is
each and every one of our 150,000 members who make
Dentaltown the community it is today. Dentaltown’s success
can be attributed to the purposeful conversations
held on the message boards, the passion behind each
post and the community-generated discussion happening
every day.
Dentaltown is a positive embodiment of the “snowball
effect” – a snowball rolls down a hill, starting small but
gaining momentum and size as it continues, building upon
itself. In the same way, when one dentist posts a question
or case online, hundreds of dentists read it and thousands
of patients are affected and receive better dentistry
because of the input. Dentaltown has stock in each member
and its success is due to solo dentists, just like you,
who make up a communal whole.
Thank you for being a part of this unique online community
and helping to create better dentistry for patients!
I’d love it if you’d join the conversation online – Who’s
