21D has launched ArchOS in the United States, an AI-driven platform for planning and carrying out full-arch dental implant reconstruction.

Dentists submit a CBCT scan, an intraoral scan, and a facial scan of the patient. 21D said its AI then segments anatomy, registers the scans, plans bone reduction and implant positioning, designs the prosthetic, and returns a treatment plan in about 16 minutes.

Once a plan is finalized, 21D manufactures a patient-specific kit of surgical guides, implants, and prosthetic components, shipped to U.S. clinicians in about three weeks. The company said surgery is completed in one visit of about three hours, with titanium-reinforced final prosthetics placed the same day and a refined second prosthetic fitted about six weeks later.

“I want a smaller network of clinicians who are technically competent, honest, and motivated by patient outcomes, not the biggest network possible,” said Rajesh Vijay, founder of 21D.

ArchOS will not be sold off the shelf. Dentists must complete a certification and licensing pathway that includes online assessment, didactic instruction, and in-person clinical training at 21D facilities in the U.K. The company plans to license about 50 U.S. dentists initially.
