In our daily implant practices we are often confronted with patients who meet the ideal criteria for implant treatment, but have a limited height of bone.  Bone grafting may partially solve this issue, but bone grafting can be expensive, time-consuming, is always uncomfortable for the patient and can involve inherent risks.
The use of short dental implants can often avoid the problems associated with bone grafts - but can it really be that simple?  This course will show you the how's and why's of short implants.

Bill Schaeffer is qualified in dentistry and medicine, has post-graduate qualifications in both dental surgery and general surgery and is recognized as a specialist Oral Surgeon.
He has been placing dental implants since 1996 and is highly experienced in a number of different implant systems.
He is co-owner of two implant centres in the South of the United Kingdom, which both focus purely on dental implant treatments.
Bill has lectured widely, both nationally and internationally, on many aspects of implant dentistry and has more than 2,000 posts on the implantology forum of Dental Town.
