4 Ways to Get Positive Customer Reviews Online

4 Ways to Get Positive Customer Reviews Online

In today's digital world, more and more people are going online to research different products and services. This involves going on product and service pages to get more information. This also means that they're reading reviews to help them make a final decision. If they see that a product has a large number of positive reviews compared to negative ones, they're more likely to choose that product over others. With that said, as a business owner, you want to receive as many positive reviews as possible so that you can build trust and drive more sales. There are various ways to do this.

Offer Great Customer Service

One way to get more positive online reviews is to provide exceptional customer service. If a customer has a problem with your product, they should be able to come to you and get their issue solved quickly and efficiently. If not, they'll get frustrated and may never purchase from you again.

To avoid this, be sure to respond to a customer's inquiry as quickly as possible. When you do respond, apologize for any inconvenience your product or service may have caused. Then, ask the customer how you can help. If they ask for a refund, graciously give it to them. These steps are key to delivering a great customer experience.

As a result, your customers will be happy with the way you handled their issues. They're more likely to leave positive feedback for potential customers to read. This way, they'll know that even if they aren't satisfied with your product, you'll diligently work with them until they are satisfied.

Create Different Spaces to Leave Reviews

By creating different places for customers to leave reviews, you're providing them with enough options just in case they don't use a particular platform. For example, if one person doesn't visit your website, they should be able to go on another platform to leave a review. Google and Yelp are pretty general and far-reaching sites that house online reviews. But you can also use social media platforms and industry-specific review sites like Houzz, Angie's List or ZocDoc. By offering multiple avenues for customers to leave reviews, you're allowing them to express themselves on platforms they feel most comfortable. You can have many customers who have positive things to say, but nowhere to share it. With multiple places to share, you're giving them more of a voice.

Encourage Customers to Leave Reviews

Asking customers for reviews is another great way to give them a voice and let them share their positive experiences with your business. There are multiple ways to encourage reviews. They include:

Increasing the visibility of other reviews: This involves making sure the reviews you already received are front and center. Seeing other customer reviews can significantly boost review volume.

Making it easy for customers to leave reviews: Customers should be able to leave reviews with no hassle. To allow easy reviews, make sure customers have easy access to your review sites. Leave links to these sites in your email signatures and on your website.

Following up with recent customers: By keeping in touch with customers after their purchase, you'll be able to get feedback from them. You can follow up by sending reminder emails, sending hand-written thank you cards, responding to every review and interacting with customers on social media platforms.

Simply asking for reviews: Getting more positive reviews can be as simple as asking for them. In fact, 70% of customers who are asked to leave a review actually do so.

Respond to Every Review - Even Negative Ones

It's important to respond to every review, whether negative or positive. This will show customers that you care about their experience, which will, in turn, encourage more business and more positive reviews. Every entrepreneur wants to get positive feedback. However, every entrepreneur should be willing to put in the work to achieve that goal.
