Pt just called me today stating that pain has decreased since yesterday. if the pain is not due to the tooth itself butpericoronitis (gum inflammation around the tooth), patient may get away with extraction by localized irrigation of peridex after numbing the area. Maybe give that a try. But since the patient is young, bettter have it extracted now than wait later. I would refer to OS for exo.
