Nu Radiance® Forté™, the first calcium peroxide-based tooth whitener, is now available in a kit. Forté is a dentist-provided, tray-based, take-home whitening product. One syringe of Nu Radiance Forté can produce an improvement of six to eight shades after only three to six hours of total wear-time; two syringes (six to twelve hours of wear-time) can produce an eight to twelve shade improvement. Because patients only wear the trays for thirty minutes at a time (they may wear them up to sixty minutes), Forté is a quick and easy teeth-whitening solution. The kit contains four syringes, mixing tips, storage case, tray-forming EVA material, and instructions. Warm and form trays are also included as an option. Touch-up kits containing one syringe, mixing tips, and instructions are available for giving to patients. Nu Radiance® Forté™ combines calcium peroxide with carbamide peroxide and water, at the time of whitening. The non-acidic pH provides etch-free whitening while the calcium helps to prevent decalcification and promote re-calcification. Forté is also virtually sensitivity free as it uses calcium peroxide to optimize the release of whitening while providing water to prevent tooth desiccation, the cause of tooth sensitivity. By using Nu Radiance® Forté™, there is no need to add nitrates to “desensitize” the teeth.
Nu Radiance® Forté™ is available from major distributors in both kits and bulk packs. Bulk packs contain thirty-six individually wrapped dual syringes with mixing tips and instructions.
