Salt Lake City, Utah—AMD Lasers, a subsidiary of the CAO Group, announced the launch of LEAP, a laser-assisted root canal disinfection system, to be introduced at the 2026 American Association of Endodontists Annual Meeting beginning April 15.

The system integrates the Picasso Pro diode laser, proprietary disinfection solution and specialized fiber tips to support bacterial reduction within the root canal system while simplifying clinical workflow. Independent laboratory research reports greater than 99.99% reduction of Enterococcus faecalis.

According to the company, the protocol may reduce treatment time, minimize dentin removal and eliminate the need for sodium hypochlorite irrigation. The platform also supports additional applications such as soft-tissue procedures and photobiomodulation therapy.

AMD states the system is designed to provide advanced endodontic technology at a practical cost, with consumables priced per procedure and a compact design intended for integration into dental operatories.
