Maple Compound, Chamomile Extract Show Cavity-Fighting Potential

Posted: September 4, 2025
Recent studies reveal that compounds from maple and chamomile have the potential to prevent cavities naturally. Researchers at the University of Wyoming discovered that a compound in maple syrup and green tea can inhibit a protein produced by cavity-causing bacteria. Another study demonstrated that chamomile extract, when combined with fluoride, significantly reduced harmful bacteria levels on enamel. These findings suggest that maple-derived compounds and chamomile extract could offer safe and cost-effective alternatives for oral health products, potentially revolutionizing cavity prevention methods.
