Clinical Evaluation of Silver Diamine Fluoride vs. Mineral Trioxide Aggregate in Indirect Pulp Capping for Permanent Molars

In a randomized clinical trial, the clinical and radiographic evaluation of silver diamine fluoride (SDF) versus mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) as indirect pulp capping agents in deeply carious first permanent molars was conducted. SDF showed a high success rate compared to MTA, positioning it as a promising alternative for preserving pulp vitality. The study highlighted the importance of prompt treatment for deeply carious lesions in first permanent molars and the efficacy of SDF in arresting caries and promoting dentin bridge formation.
