Unhealthy Diet and Sedentary Behavior Impact on Oral Health Quality of Life in Brazilian Adolescents

The article investigates the impact of unhealthy diet and sedentary behavior on the oral health-related quality of life of 12-year-old Brazilian adolescents. Findings reveal that higher consumption of unhealthy foods and sedentary behavior are significantly associated with a greater prevalence and severity of impact on adolescents' oral health-related quality of life. Intersectoral public health policies promoting healthy eating and reducing sedentary behavior in adolescents are recommended to improve their quality of life and oral health. The study underscores the importance of integrating lifestyle factors into oral health strategies for adolescents.
