Exploring the Effects of Thermal Cycling and Staining Media on Denture Base Material Properties

The article investigates the impact of thermal cycling and staining media on the surface properties and color stability of conventional, milled, and 3D-printed denture base materials. The study found that the 3D-printed group exhibited increased surface roughness, decreased hydrophilicity, and reduced color stability compared to the conventional and milled groups after thermal cycling and immersion in staining media. The findings suggest that further improvements are necessary before the clinical application of 3D-printed denture base resins.
